Perfect for bad hair days... buns and ponytails, they cover up a multitude of sins!
My hair is so thick and long, when I wear it up high, it gives me a headache after a while :(
Looking at these hair pictures is so inspiring to try this on my own hair... and I need all the hair inspiration I can get because I'm trying to jazz up my hair a little bit. Anyone have good hairstyles for long hair?
P.S. I've been searching through the interwebs for this photo of 3 girls (models, I think) who are wearing top knots. If you know which photo I'm talking about (and it's source) please let me know!

I love top knots too! However, I have bangs, so I don't feel it looks as good as I want it to.. :)
My hair is heavy too, and so used to hang down it gets soo painful to take it down after a day in a knot!
& I who just cut my hair off....:)

When I worked as an Aesthetician, i wore my hair tossly on top and it did give me headaches but only after a few days in a row! Such a pretty look!

My hair is the texture that I can tie it in a knot and it'll stay just as it is. So I just do buns like this instead of carrying scrunchies all the time! It's super convenient.
@April: Wow, that's crazy! My hair is really heavy, so when I put it up I always have bobby pins and hair bands galore!
Buns are fun! I found these hair thingies that look like screws that you literally screw into your bun so it stays in place! It's pretty nifty specially since I can't really do a top knot. :)
I love top knots! especially when they're messy and carefree - I need to loosen up more! : )

one of my best friends always wears her hair in a messy top knot, and it always looks gorgeous on her!
I suffer from the same thick-hair issue, can't wear it up for too long or I get a massive headache... Although I did cut it a bit sorter know so this minimizes the problem. When it was longer I loves to braid it in a loose braid for a soft and romantic look. another style you can try is a loose half ponytail, I love doing it with a bow hair clip!
Oh yes, my hair is down to my hips, so it's awfully hard to wrestle into any kind of up do, but I do love the top knot! (Though it does hurt a little, especially when I take it down at the end of the day, ouch!)
And oh, I think I know what photo you're talking about, or at least one with three girls with top knots, and I feel like I even had it saved, but I think it was on my old (frozen, as for the last few months) computer. I'll let you know if I turn it back up though!

Oooooh geez. My horrible bun. It's just so easy to stick it up thar. I wished I looked as cute as Jessica Stam though. Instead, I look like a bird has been nesting in my head.
I'm sorry about the headaches, that is quite a tragedy. But low buns also make me joyous, you could try that =]

I have a top knot while reading this...funny.
I love it!
But try it with only a part of your hair and let the other part down. This is also a beautifull version and you will get no headache.
Ok, the look is a bit different, but also beautifull.
